- This doesn't really make sense to me, you've seen 3, but 9 have said they
- are doing it? Anwway, if you've only seen 3 sites you have been missing a
- few :)
-
-
- There is of course Ibrowse and Amosaic(it doesn't say anything about them
- stopping development on AMosaic, of course they don't update their pages
- regulary :)
-
- AMosaic: http://www.omnipresence.com/amosaic/2.0/
- Enforcer hits each time you get a page with a form...
-
- IBrowse: http://www.omnipresence.com/ibrowse/
- Crashes ..erm.. alot
-
- ALynx : http://www.fhi-berlin.mpg.de/amiga/alynx.html
- Great little shell browser, very stable, and uses little memory.
- New beta version availabel from here.
-
- EMACS-W3: http://www.cs.indiana.edu/elisp/w3/docs.html
- Not sure about this, apparently you can incorporate the browser
- into GNU Emacs, it is suppose to be a pain to set up and not very
- stable.
-
- Weblink: http://www.weblink.org/weblink/
- This seems to be more than just a browser, the author says:
- "WebLink is a program designed for the Amiga computer system. Its
- purpose is to route data between applications, filters, networks,
- and the user. Its setup is such that it lends itself readily to web
- browsing, GUI front-ends, data conversion, and as a networking
- interface, among other things.
-
- Juggler: http://sweet.ua.pt/~celso/juggler/index.html
- Not out yet. Claims to support HTML3, and does not use MUI.
-
-
- P'Jami : http://metro.turnpike.net/N/NiallT/hotjava.html
- The (hopefully) amiga HotJava compatible browser. This one is a
- long way off, but if you are interested they have some mailing lists.
- There is also a logo contest in case you are interested.
-
- Hyperion: http://www2.csn.net/~jrandles/hyperion.html
- Will not use MUI. The programmer hopes for a public alpha sometime
- this month.
-
- Voyager: http://www.vapor.com/pub/support/voyager/
- Rumour has it that the commercial version will be called
- "MindLink" and the shareware version will continue to be called
- Voyager. At the moment this page is disabled, apparantly because:
- "SORRY, PAGE HAS BEEN TEMPORARY DISABLED DUE TO SERVER POWER FAILURE.
- PLEASE TRY AGAIN AFTER 21TH FEB." Doh! Perhaps they couldn't
- handle all the hits they vere getting from eager amigans? ;)
-
-
- Chimera:
- Ported, but no longer supported, by Holger Kruse. Designed to
- run within AmiWin, and thusly is quite a set up. Is also very
- primitive, doesn't support HTML2/3/Netscrape etc.
-
- AWeb : http://huizen.dds.nl/~aweb/
- The browser that everybody but me got a preview off! Does not
- Require MUI, handles HTML2 and will handle HTMl3. The author will
- release a version *sometime*
-
- *BEWARE* just accessing this page crashes AMosaic :) Of course
- according to the HTML validator there are 18 syntax errors on the
- page, that might excuse AMosaic somewhat.
